Understanding Massage Therapy

When you have a massage at Meadows Surgical Arts, it is customized just for you. Most full body massages include back, legs, neck, arms, hands and feet, and your massage therapist will ask you questions to determine the best way to achieve your massage therapy goals. Good communication before your massage enhances the benefit and comfort. You should inform our massage therapist if you are prone to blood clots, have an infectious disease, rash or open wounds, or if you are pregnant – as these may be important in determining if a massage is best for you.

After Your Massage

After massage you will feel calm and relaxed. Drink plenty of water and be a little active so the body can rid it’s self of toxins flushed out of the tissues during the massage. It is normal to feel a little sore or achy the day after, but this should be minimal and start to improve during the day. Regular sessions are encouraged to maintain wellness.
