Many of our patients want luscious lips! They recognize that over time, their lips will get thinner, and they will start to see the beginnings of lip lines. The skin of the lips will start to thin, and the lip fat that is so desired in this area will begin to decrease, causing the lips to appear to shrink. Smoking and sun exposure will only add to those effects. It may be time to plump them up! STARTING OUT
If you're new to the idea of plumping your lips, you will want to start with temporary lip augmentation using dermal fillers. You'll want to take it slow, experimenting with a little bit of filler at a time. At Meadows Surgical Arts, we use JUVÉDERM ULTRA PLUS® and VOLBELLA® to add volume to the lips and soften vertical lines. These fillers are purchased by the syringe. They are not permanent, allowing you the option to add small amounts of volume replacement at a time until the desired fullness is achieved.
FILLER VETERANS
When you've experimented with the levels of fullness in your lips and are ready for permanent lip augmentation, you'll want to plump your lips with permanent lip implants. These implants are silicone-grade and are fusiform-shaped (wider in the middle, tapering at both ends) are pliable and very natural looking once placed. During surgery, Dr. Meadows will place these implants in your lips through small incisions inside the corners of your mouth, in as little as twenty minutes. You will have full, sexy lips that are always luscious.
