Last night, Dr. Meadows and the staff from both the Commerce and Buford offices participated in after hours training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). We re-certify in these courses on a regular basis.
Basic Life Support training is an instructor-led course in basic life support skills, both for individuals and groups, including training in CPR, relieving choking, and use of a defibrillator. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support training focuses on team dynamics and care in emergency cases of heart attack, stroke, and other acute health emergencies. This means that all staff are well-versed in emergency care, should such an emergency ever arise while you are in our care.
And unless an emergency like that happens, this is probably the only time you'll ever see us on the floor. Enjoy!
